Rabat: Tour HassanThe Tour Hassan was intended to be the largest minaret in the world at the largest mosque in the world. Construction began in 1195, but when the Sultan died in 1199 it was halted. The minaret tower is 44m tall, about 1/2 done, and only the columns and wall of the mosque were completed.
